Make sure window screens and door sweeps are tight and there are no holes in them.

Make sure firewood, garbage cans, and other yard debris are kept away from the side of your house

Keep shrubs, bushes, and trees trimmed well away from the side of your home.

Make sure storage closets, attics, corners of rooms, and other low traffic areas are regularly vacuumed and free of clutter.

Keep basements and other damp areas as dry as possible and well ventilated.

When you find a spider web, make sure there is not an egg sack as well. Even if you get the web and spider, the eggs may still hatch.
